Abstract [sv]

New products are positive to the growth and competitiveness of companies. To be able to focus on its core competencies, companies outsource none core activities to external suppliers, who carry out these activities on behalf of the company. Depending on which activity that is being outsourced and how the co-operation between the company and its suppliers works, the ability to grow new knowledge changes and along with that also the ability to innovate. This study is written from an innovation perspective, from which we investigate how technological companies are affected by outsourcing. The study shows that depending on how the co-operation works between the company and its suppliers, the development of new knowledge and innovations changes in different ways.
