Abstract [en]
This thesis investigates how Swedish enterprises have managed their product development activities in Shanghai, China. The research has been carried through with a perspective on national culture divergences between Swedish and Chinese employees, working together with product development. Five factors affected by national cultural divergences that influence product development has been identified. These factors are creativity, responsibility, communication, teamwork and management. As a Swedish enterprise it is important to be aware of how the factors affect the product development to be able to manage them efficiently. Awareness is created through knowledge of the Chinese cultural background as well as the Swedish, in order to notice the divergences.
