Abstract [en]
This bachelor thesis is the second in a project with Saab Ericsson Space. The aim of the project was to develop an inverted pendulum in two dimensions to symbolise a rocket. The model will in the future be used to demonstrate fault tolerant computer systems. The model has been built with help of a control computer two step motor driven linear actuators, and a rocket model mounted on an aluminium stick that moves along the linear actuators. The aim of this thesis was to make the pendulum balance in one dimension, which was achieved. The thesis contains information about calculating the regulation algorithms, hardware and software descriptions.
