Abstract [sv]
The purpose of this study is to survey how children perceive their proportion to sport today and in the future, within the areas of exercise sport and connecting to sports clubs. This to foresee the habits of sports in the future and to put in appropriate interventions in the prevailing situation. To examine this 62 boys and 49 girls, in age 9 to 13 (m=11,54), answered a questionnarie constructed by the author with both open questions and questions with fixed alternatives. The result of study showed that 95,5 % of the children exercised sport at least ones a week and that the number, according to the children´s answers, will reduce to 61,3 % for boys and 59,2 % for girls within 20 years. The most common among girls were riding, handball and aerobic while the most common among boys were football, handball and indoor bandy. Boys more than girls (70,5 % compared with 57,1 %) were member in a sports club. Asserting the future many of children thought that they are going to be a member in a sports club and gap between boys (77,4 %) and girls (71,4 %) will reduce. The result showed numbers that are three time higher in comparison with former studies that have shown that about every fourth person 30 years old are a member of a sports club.
