Abstract [sv]
The present study is a part of a bigger concept concerning sport and health education among teenagers. The aim of study was to describe what teenagers think of sports and health. Though the study concerns individual believes the main theoretical framework was phenomenography in which individuals apprehends can be explained. A qualitative interview method was used, and the nine participants were chosen by a strategic selection. The result showed that the informations are positive to physical activity in school but for eliminating stress they are asking for more schedualed free time in between lessons in practising sports and theoretical subjects. They also want new experiences to maintain their interests in sport health education and they emphasises the importance of their teachers devotion. Conclusions drawn from the result show that teenagers has a natural need of physical movement during their day in school. The school subject sport and health therefore needs to get stronger legitimacy.
