Abstract [sv]
We´ve been working on making a more adjustable and modern walking aid for use at home. The main goal has been to achieve an aid which suites as many users as possible. Walk@home is easy to handle alone, width-adjustable, provides help to get up and all functions and handgrips are ergonomic. The users are people with different disabilities, hemiplegia, rheumatism, elderly etc.. Walking tables, which are used today, are clumsy, not so adjustable and designed for use in hospital corridors. Our aid must be approved by SINTEF Unimed. Our partner has been IUC West AB.
