Abstract [sv]

ABB Service has a full service agreement with Dormer Tools, which is a large manufacturer of taps for threads. Today a machine, Jutronic 2000, has a control system that is quite old-fashioned and hard to perform service on. Therefore it will be replaced with a new one. We have designed the PLC program in the new control system for the grinding wheel and for the loading of the taps in the machine. This requires a high accuracy control of the servomotors. A control panel has been implemented to simplify the operator’s ability to supervise and change parameters.
