Abstract [sv]
This thesis is an improvement of Anders Werners master thesis, 3D representation of forming fabrics, and Jesper Österströms bachelor thesis, 3D modeling of forming fabrics. Anders Werners thesis resulted in a program in MATLAB for graphical representation of forming fabrics. The purpose of this thesis was to improve the three-dimensional representation of the fabrics, make it more user friendly, and to work for all existing weave patterns. New routines should be created for adjustment of the models from photography of real forming fabrics. When they are realistic enough, shall geometrical calculations from the model be done, for example the area and volume of the openings. All existing weave patterns are now represented in the program, and the user friendliness is a lot better. The quality of the 3D models are good enough for educational use, for information, and for advertisement. Routines for the geometrical calculations are still missing.
