Abstract [sv]

The goal of this project is to develop a web based administration tool for a Linux firewall. The tool must provide functions that average administrators often bypass, e.g. analysis of logs One part of the project is to examine the different possible solutions by evaluating several alternatives of web servers, intrusion detection systems and programming language. Security is one of the major topics covered in this project. The result of the project is a complete administration tool with some limitations, like lack of some more advanced functions. The project targets the average Linux user, with some TCP/IP knowledge.
