Abstract [sv]

Every year there are many people that fall ill from Ménière's disease. It is a lifelong disease that few people are aware of. The body loses control of the fluid regulation in the inner ear. A periodic attack of vertigo (the so-called Ménière's attack) is the most disruptive of the symptoms to the patient. It has been estimated that approximately 0,4 percent of the world's population suffer from Ménière's Disease. In Sweden there are about 4000 new patient that fall ill from Ménière's Disease every year. The Meniett is a product developed by Pascal Medical AB to ease the symptoms of Ménière's disease. This document describes the development of a new program that presents the log in the Meniett. The program will help the doctor to see how the patient has been treating himself and if the treatment has been carried out correctly. The program needs only the treatmentcard that is used in the Meniett, which is easy for the patient to provide the hospital with. The evaluated information will be displayed in different, easily understood representations. A printed document of the information can also be produced to be enclosed in the journal.
