Abstract [sv]

A database and a graphical user interface (GUI) has been implemented. The database is constructed in Microsoft Access 97 and the GUI is implemented in Visual Basic. To make the communication between the database and the GUI possible, Structured Query Language (SQL) was necessery. SQL is a programming language that collects the data in the database and puts it in a record set. This makes it possible to modify the data in the database and view a specific collection of data in the GUI. What is the purpose of this project? The company Syntagma AB was in great need of an easy way to store the skills and experience that their employees have. My assignment was to implement an easy to use program that made this possible.
