Abstract [sv]
SimSpelGen is a graphical, platform independent tool generating radar scenarios. SimSpelGen was made for Ericsson Microwave Systems (EMW) in Mölndal, where an important system unit in the radar logic is the simulator. The simulator uses predefined static radar scenarios from which it extracts radar information. The scenarios are stored in files which contains information about the different objects, e.g. aircrafts, robots, sensors and clutters. EMW’s guidelines for projects, documenting and software engineering follows well known software development design patterns, which the thesis project was set to obey. Consequently the project was divided into four phases; requirements, design, implementation and test. Each phase has generated different documents such as an iteration plan, several requirement specifications, design specifications containing divers flow charts and class structural diagrams. The thesis project resulted in a well designed tool that met the requirements set by EMW except the ability to play the scenarios in real time.
