Syftet med projektet var att konstruera en ryggradskanal till en befintlig mekanisk nacke. Ryggradskanalen skulle simulera blodets rörelse i kanalen under en whiplashrörelse. För att få ett bevis på hur verklighetstroget kanalen simulerade blodets rörelse skulle modellen testas under en whiplashrörelse.
