Abstract [en]

The essay is a decontruction of two poems by Dylan Thomas. This particular style of analysis attempts to prove that “all reading is mis-reading”. I have strived to show that the poems are highly ambigious, and thus riddled with tensions and oppositions. Furthermore, I have endeavoured to show that exposing the text’s indeterminancy will ultimately enlighten the reader. Finally, I have discussed my belief that the poet’s pre-occupation with the cycle of life and death was primarily an avenue for intellectualizing and rationalizing about the inevitable.
