Abstract [sv]
In future all firms will have to adopt different kinds of organisations compared to today's traditional structures. In order to maintain the long-term ability to compete all corporations are forced to adapt their organisations for quick change and flexibility. This study has been examin-ing one example of firms co-operating in network structures. The purpose of this study is to investigate different components that contribute to a better interchange of competence within a regional network of firms. This study is based on six case studies, where all firms were located in the same region. The results from analyses pointed out seven factors that play an important role in interchange of competencies in networks. They were geographical proximity, confidence, competence, historical account of co-operation, knowledge about surrounding world, information ex-change/communication and mutual knowledge.
