Abstract [sv]
The purpose of the project was to improve an existing machine that is used to shred ham. The request from the company was, that the amount of shredded ham that can be conveyed from the machine should correspond with the amount of ham that is fed into the machine. The machine should be able to handle large amounts of ham during a longer period of time. From our side, we also wanted to pay extra attention to safety. A well-working prototype has been developed. Improvements have been made concerning the drive machinery. This has been achieved by using a more efficient scraper that keeps the machine free from left-over bits of shredded ham. One of the shafts has been spring supported which has resulted in the edges of the knives having a better contact surface in relation to each other.
