Abstract [sv]
The purpose of this study is to indentify and analyze different patterns of conflict among employees in schools and to explore relations between conflicts and mood-states. The data was collected from three different schools. 70 staffmembers participated. A questionnaire was developed to investigate patterns of conflict and profite Of Mood States (POMS) was used to measure mood-state. Factoranalysis was conducted of the result from the conflictquestionnaire and regression-analysis was conducted between identified factors of conflict and POMS. Analysis of variance was conducted to compare results from school. 11 factors were identified and summarized in Total Conflict Score (TCO). The result from one school is significantly higher with several factors. The same school is also significantly higher on POMS-factors and on conflicts within teams. The conclusion is that vulnerability increases significant over all. The 11 factors can be categorized into three dimension of conflict; A Reactive dimension, characted by affect and reaktion to threat. An Instrumental dimension, characterized by strategies and absence of affect. The third dimension is decribed as Neutral. The conflict-questionnaire is sensitive enough to discriminate between conflicts within teams, between teams and between schools.
