Abstract [sv]
The main goal for “Diode analysis of a photometer” was to develop equipment for testing accuracy of a photometer. The photometer measures hemoglobin and glucose in whole blood and therefor it is very important that the outcome is correct. A photo-element installed in the microcuvette holder is pushed into the photometer and will detect the amount of light that hits the microcuvette. The results from the test on the photometer are transmitted via a processor to a PC. A program in the PC written in Visual C++ handles the values of the results and displays it for the user on a computer screen. The test is used to decide if the photometers two diodes (LED’s) light is focused on the microcuvette and how well the light from the diodes are centred over the microcuvette.
