Abstract [sv]

The alarm-system is a flexible free-standing construction that is able to adapt to a wide range of applications like industrial machines or unwatched summerhouses to mention some. The system consists of a platform controlled by a microprocessor that handles signals from the surveilled object. The platform is connected to a GSM-module (a mobile phone without display, keypad, speaker and microphone) which sends alarms in the form of SMS-messages. The receiver of the alarms is a second GSM-module that is connected to a PC. A user-friendly interface shows the alarm-messages on the screen.
