Abstract [en]
This document gives an overview of a thesis work performed at Ericsson Mobile Data Design AB in the spring of 2000. The document describes the development of a graphical user interface (GUI) to a Test Manager, which shall automate the verification process of the test tool SPA/X. It also describes the use of a TCP/IP connection to run tests under UNIX, which acts as a server with remote control from the Test Manager TestStand, developed by National Instruments. TestStand executes as a client in a PC environment. The document also describes the special communication protocol, which is used for the client and the server to communicate with each other. It also presents Ericsson Mobile Data Design AB and gives a simple overview of the network structure in Mobitex.
