Abstract [sv]
This project has been developed by order of Björn Åstrand at the IS-lab, School of Information Science, Computer and Electrical Engineering, Halmstad University. Our goal was to develop an improved system for robotvision, to be used in the annual Legorobot competition. The project includes the developing of necessary hardware and software. A hardware interface to connect the digital image sensor PB-0300 from Photobit® to a Texas Instrument digital signal processor TMS-320C31 developer system, was built. The complete system also consists of a 64K word expansion memory, dual 8-bit I/O-ports, and a camera body for the image sensor. Software for reading information from the image sensor was developed, as well as several programs for testing and evaluation. This document is a part of the Bachelor thesis project at the Computer System Engineering program at Halmstad University, and describes the entire project in detail.
