Abstract [sv]
This Bachelor thesis is made for Hogia Communication AB in Stenungsund. Hogia Communication has developed a system called MobiLast, to direct traffic for road carriers. The purpose of our work was to develop an application to a handheld computer (Symbol SPT 1700) and integrate it with Hogia´s system MobiLast. Symbol SPT 1700 is a Palm V computer with a built in barcode scanner, it is also encapsulated for industrial environment. The application we have developed is named MobiLast Handheld and takes care of all information exchange between a vehicle and the traffic controller. MobiLast Handheld is the drivers interface to MobiLast. MobiLast Handheld makes the information flow more effective between drivers and traffic controllers, and the road carriers will save both time, money and distance by using MobiLast Handheld.
