Abstract [sv]

This paper presents a project aimed to support the development of pressfelts for papermaking. The work has been done at Albany Nordskafilt´s R&D in Halmstad, Sweden. The company needs to measure the waterbalance of pressfelts in their pilotmachines. We have solved the problem by writing a program in TestPoint for data acquisition and implementing flowmeters. The complicated measuring situation has made it necessary to study theory in flow and flowmeasurement. During the project we excluded measuring in two-phase flow. Instead we developed our own solution called the water-lock method.
