Abstract [sv]
The managements of today seem to look at project managers and projects mainly as a profitable source and not as a source of knowledge and experience collection. But at a long range perspective it is the latter which is the most important, especially for knowledge intensive companies which compete with the knowledge and experience of it's employees and not like before with it's production units. In the future it will in all probability exist even more knowledge intensive companies, whereby this managerial view scarcely would be tenable. Nor would it be an effective usage of resources to accept that the project managers doesn't transfer their collected knowledge and experiences to the other project managers in the company. The transfer of knowledge between project managers is important as it can result in other project managers avoiding old problems and using old solutions.
