Abstract [sv]
In the increasingly globalised world we're living in the lifecycles of products grow shorter. This together with the large physical distances and cultural differences in a global development work increases the need for more efficient communication. The following factors generally support an efficient communication in a global innovationsprocess: The social context is shared by everyone involved in the process and is a shared mental image of the project. An open communication means that everyone involved is focused on solving mutual problems. An efficient communication favours from a flat organization with openness for a two-way communication and feedback. In order to act efficiently in a global environment it's important to be aware of the cultural differences existing in the world and its influence on the interaction between persons from different cultures. Effective use of media means that the choice of communication-media depends on the character of the message.
