Abstract [sv]

The assignment was to develop a method for packing firewood automatically. The assignees are an Interregproject with the assignment, refinement of forest in Härjedalen and Röros communities. The University of Halmstad has assisting the project budget. The purpose with the process is to orientate the firewood from a dryingmodule on 2 m3 and unsorted, then pack the wood together to bundles in requested volume. It shall also fit directly to the cutter and splitter, if the user wants to pack directly. The machine has to have a capacity of about 1600 sacks/day, to handle the machine it should only need two persons. A well tried prototype as the demands has been developed. The solution fore orientate the firewood is patented. The machine is driven with pneumatic and controls with PLC-equipment. A Possible manufacturing of VEPA´s woodpackingmachine will start in a new company, with one off VEPA´s project members as a project leader.
