Abstract [sv]

The propose of this dissertation is to establish what thoughts and attitudes pupils, in grade four and their teatchers have, as well as the extent and content surroundig the issue of sports and health. Do residential area and sex influence the perception of pupils and teachers and how do these factors influence issues surrounding sports and health, are examples of questions that will be treated. This dissertation also treat the differences in the contents of sports education depending on where you live. The group examined consists of 92 pupils divided into six classes in two school in Halmstad and Växjö. The group also includes gym teacher, three form masters and trainee. Querstionnaires were handed out to the pupils and interviews were conucted with the rest. The result of survey shows that the pupils find sports fun and that they want more of it in school. The attitudes and thought surrounding the issue sport and health do not differ that much depending on where you live or where you live or what gender you belong to. The results also show that the content of the sports education differ depending on where you live, especially during winter where you in Växjö can practise winter sports to a much greater extent than in Halmstad
