Language improvement in relation to studying or working in English speaking countries.
Halmstad University, School of Humanities (HUM).
2000 (English)Independent thesis Basic level (degree of Bachelor)Student thesis
Abstract [en]
It is a widely held view that periods abroad contribute to exchange students´ language improvements, even if few studies have been made regarding these improvements. The aim of the investigation is to document improved knowledge in vocabulary and grammar with subjects that have been studying or working abroad. These people are then compared with another group that has solely studied Englisch in a Swedish school. As a result of this study insight has been gained to a certain extent into what actually happens to the language proficiency when a person studies or works abroad.
