Innehåll: En beskrivning av den franska slangens utveckling genom seklerna, från att ha fungerat som kodspråk hos rövargängen “Les Coquillards” i den undre världen under 1400-talet, till dagens betydligt bredare tillämpning i olika skikt i samhället. Även slangens plats i litteraturen och de semantiska och formella metoderna för konstruktion av slang tas upp.
