Abstract [sv]
This project has been performed in cooperation with Supac AB. Supac is a company that is developing vibratory rollers with variable stroke-frequency and amplitude. Our assignment was to design and construct an intelligen controllersystem based on some kind of microcontroller. The system is supposed to handle the instrumentpanel, measure the density of the material to be compacted and adjust the frequency and amplitude accordingly. When the jobb is done the operator will be able to download data to an external unit in order to document how well the material has been compacted. The controllersystem will also monitor and controll a couple of other parameters such as speed, engine temperature, battery voltage and wetting of the roller drums. The hardware is flexible and support a wide range of roller configurations. The project has resulted in a working hardware prototype.
