Abstract [sv]

This is a report of our project in Bachelor of Science in Computer Systems Engineering. At the university of Halmstad all scheduling work is done manually. This is a very hard, extensive and timeconsuming task. The objective of this project is to simplify and improve the efficiency of the scheduling process (at universities). The effects will be that the university will save a lot of time, money and resources. We have solved this problem by implementing a program in Java. The program is user-friendly and has a grafhical interface. In the program the user input classes, teachers, classrooms, lessons and then gets proposals where to schedule the lessons. One can book and rebook lessons. The program has a automatic booking and rebooking function. The program prevents the user from doublebooking a teacher, class or classroom. The user also have a possibility to save and load his/hers work.
