Abstract [sv]

This rapport describes the development of software for automation of a microglossmeter. The microglossmeter is used to measure glossvariations on different types of paper. Background and description of the microglossmeter is included in the report. The problems, and the solutions, during the implementation are discussed and the most substantial functions, for steering the microglossmeter, are described. The result of this project is a user-friendly interface for Windows NT. All of the functions required to do measurements and to steer the microglossmeter have been implemented. The program has the capability to do a complete measurement of an A4 paper, and the resolution is optimised to make measurements down to a tenth of a millimetre. To make the analysis of the measurements easier, the measurements are presented as two-dimensional images of the measured area.
