Improvement of the 3D forming fabric-modeling program that Anders Werners master thesis, 3D Representation of forming fabrics, resulted in. Converting the existing 3D-program from MATLAB 4 to MATLAB 5. This applies particularly to handling images and dialog windows. Installation and file handling are programmed in the program language DOS. Developing 3d representation of the pattern TRIOTEX and DUOTOP TSS. Studying photos of cuts from forming fabrics to find how the pattern influences the thread position. Special calculation routines for DUOTOP TSS are developed. Handling graphic objects in 3D environment, using MATLABs functions for lights and surface. Developing graphic user interface in MATLAB 5. It gives prominence to how defective the representations are and make proposal of improvement. A list of references recommend further reading.
