Abstract [sv]
This thesis deals with the designing of a DC/DC-converter to be used in an electrical automobile. It supplies the 12 voltage system and charges the auxiliary battery. The converter is voltage fed by the cars traction battery @ 218 V. Maximum output current is limited to 25 A. The job was assigned by Göran Sidén at the University of Halmstad. To convert the voltage, step-down technology is used, and as electrical isolation was a demand, a Push and pull converter was applied. Alternative voltage is created by pulse width modulation with high power semiconductors (IGBT). The semiconductors are switched by a PIC-processor based automatic control system. Requirements for the construction were: efficiency, reliebility, electrical isolation, inaudible switchingfrequency, efficient thermal dissipation of power losses and modifiable for other cars and batteries.
