Abstract [sv]
In Sweden, more than 100 000 of bikes are stolen every year and 470 000 are to be sold approximately. The locks available on the market today are placed externaly on the bike and therefore quite easy to brake. The project goal, is to make the bike unusable for everyone but the owner. By integrating the lock in the crankhouse, it will be possible. A code will be applied on the display, which sends a signal to the engine inside the frame. The engine will push down a pin, which cause friction on the crankshaft. The friction is so high that it will be very difficult to use the bike in a normal way.
