Abstract [sv]
The goal of this thesis project is to create a controling-computer for a linear robot. The project was commissioned by Detectus AB and the linear robot is to be used as an EMC-scanner. The computer is designed as a modular system, based on a passive backplane, and can handle up to eight I/O-modules. The project includes designing the main CPU-board, the I/O-module for power-control, and the software necessary for motion-control of the stepper motors and comunication with the master PC.
