Abstract [en]

This dissertation is about the use of investment calculation methods in swedish small and medium sized business. The types of investment studied are those in capital products such as builings, cars and machines, excluding investments in financial assets. The study is based upon a questionaire which included eight different investment calculation methods and which was sent out to 89 financial managers of small and medium sized firms around the country. The aim is to find explanations to why certain methods are being used today, to the way in which they are being used, and to why the usage has changed or not.
