Abstract [sv]
Kittelock is based upon the idea of an electronic drivers license that in combination with an alcohol test will prevent drunken persons from starting a vehicle. Todays system uses a smartcard with a contact surface. After a time of usage this surface gets worn out due to the contact that is required to read the information of the card. Our project’s goal was to restructure the design of Kittelock. We have worked out a solution that connects the devices in Kittelock using a serial interface called CAN. Unfortunately there has been delay in delivery of components. This has resulted in that we can not finish the project the way it was ment. The card reader is however complete and working. It is connected to a PC on which we have written a program that simulates the functionality of Kittelock.
