Abstract [sv]
Control and information system for smart houses, which is inexpensive and easy to install, will be attractive products in the future. This report describes the design of onde such syste, Intelligent Home Network: 1. A handhels wireless terminal (main unit) with Inra Red communication, which communicates with communcation nodes. Through this unit it is possible to control systems in the house and access information regardless of the user’s position in the house. 2. Communication nodes are intelligent nodes where a Neuron(R)chip and IR module are implemented. Each communicates with the main unit using IR light and with other nodes via the power mains, using Lon Works(TM)protocol. 3. The PC-server contains a Visual Basic application that supports the handheld terminal with all kinds of registers, like address register.
