Abstract [en]
The purpose of this project assignment is to evaluate the possibility to use Ethernet as fieldbus. This includes using TCP/IP, a webserver and designing fieldbus specific hardware. The hardware design is based upon the AnyBus DT module developed by HMS Fieldbus Systems in Halmstad. The interface between the user application and Ethernet is implemented in ANSI C.
