Abstract [sv]
Products like mobile phones, digital cameras, digital freestyles and last but not least handhelds computers are becomming smaller. These products therefor demand very small sized memories with large capacity. The contents of the memory must be kept eventhough the equpment is placed in it’s turned off. The advantage with a flashcard that we are using is the portability. The purpose of this examwork is to make it possible to implement a flashcard in one of our principals handheld computers. The flashcard wich have been examined is brand new and it’s also the smallest one on the market, with capacity up to 10 MB at the moment. A hardware construction in form of an interface between a handheld computer and a flashcard has been made at prototype level. Programs for reading and writing to a card has been developed at a low level.
