Abstract [sv]

We have built hardware that retrieves data 763 times/sec from a testbox. Data is transferred five nibbles at a time. The lower five nibbles come first, and are stored in latches until the higher five nibbles arrive. The five entire bytes are then delivered to the PC. The transmission uses handshake between the testbox and the databuffer, and between the databuffer and the PC respectively to achieve sunchronisation. Software is made and consists of three parts : VERCOME Sampling, VERCOM Analys and VERCOM Tempbox. VERCOM Sampling retrieves the data from the hareware and saves it to a file on the hard disk. VERCOM Analys allows for analysis of the sampled data at a speed that is 50 times lower than when data was sampled in real time. VERCOM Tempbox controls a temperature box. This to see how the hardware responds to wxtreme cold and warm temperatures.
