Abstract [en]

My purpose is to describe the investment process in the shipping business seen from a Swedish shipping company. I will describe some ordinary investment caculations and factors that are used in the investment process in my study. I will do this by explaining thoughts and arguments that are important för an investment decision and investment alternatives during a ships lifecycle. I will also describe the connection between Bower´s theory on the investment process and the investment process at Ciadell Shipping Ltd.
