Abstract [en]

The Body Shop has truly upheld it´s social responsibility, or are it´s claims simply a part of it´s smart retailing practices. During the course of this thesis, the researcher intends to lead the reader through both sides of the argument. The first chapter takes the perspective of the company and it´s arguments as a socially responsible company. It also investigates how the company has been successful with it´s no advertising policy, outlining the ways in which the company promotes itself as a substitute to advertising.
