Abstract [en]

Project Link Lanka has developed a spray dryer in laboratory scale for preparation of herbal powder. Our spray dryer U-Link can evaporate 1 kg water per hour and the cost for the equipment is beneath one fifth of its closest competitor. U-link was developed for the company Link Natural Products in Sri Lanka but the spray dryer concept can be used in other similar companies i Sri Lanka. With spray dryer U-Link, Link Natural Products can develop new products that will increase their turnover. Our economical analysis shows that spray dryer U-link has a pay-off time of approximately four months.
