Before the Bo01 building plots were sold, a common quality programme was drawn up, agreed between the City of Malmo and the developers. The researchers have evaluated the programme’s strengths and weaknesses as an instrument for influencing the construction process and its end product, i.e. the building. The chapter opens with a short description of Quality Programme Bo01 before turning to consider the construction process – and how the sustainability requirements were handled. Finally the researchers discuss the impact which the quality programme had people and buildings and the future effect. All in all, they find the quality programme to be a good steering instrument, which can be developed further in future projects.
