Abstract [en]

More things are becoming digital. This affects the construction industry and gives both good and bad points. Construction companies can use different ways to bring digital technology into their projects and everyday work. This study wants to find out how much digital technology has really changed the way things are structured. We will reach out to construction companies and talk to structural engineers. We write down what they say. After collecting all the information, we will take a closer look at it to see what is good and bad about using digital technology. We will look at both the good and the bad things. First we talked about how the use of computers and the internet is changing the way things are made. Then we asked managers from various large companies if the use of computers and the Internet has made things better or if they are still the same as before. We have found that there are some downsides to using computers and the Internet, aside from the challenge of understanding when different programs are updated. When it comes to positives, we don't expect any significant improvements, but rather that it simply speeds up work and saves more time.
