Abstract [en]

Working with traffic safety solutions Autoliv AB is specialized in airbags, and their wearables department are currently developing a motorcycle vest with an inflatable airbag to protect the user in collisions. The project strives to develop a repair service for the motorcycle vest for the cases where the vest was triggered and deployed at the wrong time, for example, if the user leaves the vest on and drops it. A process that requires the user to replace components such as the inflator if nothing else on the vest is damaged.

After gathering information about the market and Autolivs organization several options on the service repair flow were created. Due to technical developments on the motorcycle vest and market demand the chosen solution involves the user being able to order new inflators and perform that case of repair. In other cases the vest will be sent to the vest manufacturer for repair with spare parts from Autoliv. The project resulted in described flow and outline for the users handbook, and general outline on what information the database should contain.
