The UK Professional Standards Framework is a globally recognised framework for benchmarking success within Higher Education teaching and learning. Achieving Senior Fellow status demonstrates a thorough understanding and experience of implementing successful approaches which positively impact on the student learning experience. Drawing on coaching and mentoring theory (CPE moduland reflecting pedagogical perspectives from across the University, this session will share both mentor and mentee experiences of the first online SFHEA mentoring cohort from Dec 2020-March 2021.
Success takes many forms – SFHEA proposal completion is just one with emerging others including the informal development of an online cross-subject community of practice, learning through digital collaboration and enhanced confidence in pedagogic discussion.
