Abstract [en]

The purpose with this study is to identify wich stressors construction managers experience and also how they cope with them. The purpose was answered with the questions: What stressors do construction managers experience in the construction industry? What copingstrategies do they use to cope with the stressors? The study is qualitative and eight semi structural interviews was implemented. The study shows that construction managers experience lack of information, time pressure and unpredictable changes as the primary stressors. The managers used physical training, social support among family and colleagues, changing the situation and changing the feelings as primary coping strategies.
